What do I wear? I have a busy, casual day at work in the city, but still want to keep it fashionable and classy. Leaving straight from work for a fun function at a casual restaurant. I want to reflect a combination of professional, fun and chic.
I chose a romper…but not just any romper. The hemline had to be a respectable and appropriate length. The fabric had to work…both the style and the print. Accessories are critical – note the classy black belt featured below that looks striking against the white romper material. Best part of all is I found it where I would least expect – the junior’s department at Macy’s, mixed in with ugly clothes! The price was $68, but with a sale and coupon, I purchased it at a steal for $35. My look can easily be switched up by adding a denim vest for a more casual flair or a floral scarf tied for a belt…and of course fun colored sandals. This outfit works well for dinner, a party, summer picnic or so many other functions. The sophisticated, well-fitting romper is completely city-savvy and a must-have staple for this summer season. Choose the color that works best with your skin tone, and have fun with it ladies!
PS: watch those thong lines. Thongs are meant to avoid panty lines! When your neon pink thong shows through your garment, it’s completely tacky and unacceptable. If a light fabric does not cover what it should, go to a darker fabric, or move on!
