Summer Redo…before & after

This summer I decided to redo my bedroom at home.  It was time for a new look, which involved the task of deciding on a color…one that was fresh, bright and that I wouldn’t get tired of.  Not always as easy as it sounds!  To freshen things up I also painted a couple of pieces of furniture, including my bed frame and dressing vanity.  I really wanted the vanity to pop and look different than it did, so I gave it a brand new face, painting it a vintage green color.  I plan on distressing it when I have time.  I invested in  a leaning mirror, a new lighting fixture (to replace the ceiling fan that was there) and a vintage nightstand.  The rest of everything was stuff I traded with other pieces my mom had throughout the house.  Hope you enjoy my transformation!

Every girl needs one of these to do their makeup and store their jewelry/accessories! I chose one with a flat surface so it can accommodate my laptop when necessary.

  1. This is beyond cute! I love the aesthetic you chose – definitely my cup of tea! Your bedding is perfectly pretty without being too fussy and that full length mirror: I MUST HAVE IT! Where on earth did you find it?
