Exploring my new home, Italia…

Today we experienced an amazing taste of how the 'other side' lives. That is, the other side of the breathtaking Arno River. From the gorgeous Italian architecture and historical landmarks to the sinfully delicious aroma of hot breads and cheesy pizza pies wafting out onto the cobblestone streets, we certainly were in for a treat. Today we experienced an amazing taste of how the ‘other side’ lives. That is, the other side of the breathtaking Arno River. From the gorgeous Italian architecture and historical landmarks to the sinfully delicious aroma of hot breads, cheesy pizza pies and sugary gelato cones wafting out onto the cobblestone streets, I am certainly spoiled to call Italia my new home.

The girls and I indulged in a simply amazing lunch at a quaint outdoor cafe called Ricchi this afternoon.  Our palates and eyes were more than pleased, to say the least.

I was completely craving to savor a pasta dish today - my first one in Italy. Spaghetti Pomodoro was the winner, and boy oh boy was it delectable. The fresh tomato sauce perfectly complemented the doughy pasta. Italy Photo by Alexa
I was completely craving to savor a pasta dish today – my very first one in Italy. Spaghetti Pomodoro was the winner, and boy oh boy was it delectable, setting the standards extremely high. The fresh tomato sauce perfectly complemented the doughy pasta ratio.  I am hooked!!
