“Mangiare, bere ed essere felici”…Eat, drink and be merry!

If you think this captures the start of another scrumptious dinner in Italy, you are incredibly mistaken.  It happens to be my “Food, Culture and Society in Italy” class that started today.  Simply amazing…and divinely delicious!  Pictured standing at the foot of the table is my professor, the talented chef Cecilia Ricci.  She is explaining to us how food artistry and presentation is highly valued in Italy.  Today we learned about breads from the Tuscany, Emilia Romagna and Puglia regions of Italia, including Pane Toscano and Pane Ferrarese.  Chef Cecilia taught us how to make the tastiest paring combinations with olives and breads, in addition to honey and breads…
