My name is Alexa and I am currently a junior and Print Journalism major at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to writing, fashion has always been an integral part of my life. I live for expressing myself through unique outfits, and I absolutely love to be diverse when it comes to trying different styles, patterns and colors. When it comes to shopping, it is important to me to start my own trends and have fun with them!
This summer I had the most amazing internship in New York City at an online events publication, where I would review and feature a variety of trendy restaurants (and food trucks) throughout the city. In addition to eating a plethora of delectable food, I was able to wear stylish and chic ensembles walking up and down the city streets and to meet my clients. After all, a journalist has to look stylishly presentable at all times.
I have been a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista since May 2012. During my time as a Style Guru, I have had the opportunity to write for two sections: WHAT TO WEAR and STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK. This fall 2013 semester will be an exciting adventure for me as I am studying abroad in Florence, Italy. I will be writing for the FASHION FROM ABROAD section, scoping out the awesome European fashion scene…and you guys will be on this journey with me every step of the way! Not only am I excited to explore the fashion world, but also the passionate foodie in me cannot wait to indulge in many delicious and fresh Italian meals.
