Firenze is an amazing, breathtaking city — from antique architecture to delicious food and chic fashion. Every week eager tourists crowd the cobblestone to gaze at the city’s charm and exquisite landmarks. Restaurants are busy flipping pizza pies and topping off endless glasses of vino. When it comes to weekends, many students explore and celebrate other gorgeous gems that Italia so graciously beholds. Whether touring a winery in the countryside, embracing another amazing city or boating to a serene island, your outfit must be well thought out for comfort, overall look and style. Really think about where you are visiting and exactly what you will be doing. Most importantly, never, ever underestimate the impact of “wow factor” in your ensembles.
This week’s Fashionista is perfectly outfitted from head to toe for a tropical weekend escape. She looks amazing in her flowy floral maxi skirt and perfectly fitted crop top, ready to soak up some sun at the beach on Giglio Island off the coast of Tuscany. This versatile ensemble looks trendy on this Fashionista for relaxing at the beach in this divine cover-up, and also makes a classy presentation for a beach-side restaurant sipping a fruity drink. Her hobo bag is the perfect solution for a beach getaway, and strappy leather sandals splendidly pull the entire outfit together. She coordinated this fashion statement flawlessly, smartly matching the pink in her maxi skirt with her crop top.
Keeping it cool on a sunny beach day, but looking absolutely great, this Fashionista made a fabulous choice for an island getaway. A stylish selection of maxi skirts suitable for an island excursion (or even taking it into fall with a cute pair of booties) can be found on ASOS. Crop tops, long sleeved and spaghetti strapped, can be purchased on Polyvore. My favorite is a unique embellished cami top, made by Miss Selfridge. Conveniently, there happens to be an H&M and Brandy Melville located right in the center of Firenze, Italia for our traveling Fashionistas.
