FASHION FROM ABROAD: Bootylicious, Complemented with Crochet

I spotted this week’s Fashionista looking ever so chic in front of Firenze’s amazing Duomo, and just had to photograph her trendy ensemble. Her total look is without doubt a definite showstopper. A tight pair of skinny jeans paired with a fitted black T-shirt and black leather ankle booties is a must for strutting the city’s cobblestone streets in style. I love how this Fashionista’s long crochet vest dresses up the black tee, adding a vintage flare, and the simple jewel dangle necklace accessorizes the outfit together. In addition to rocking this versatile look to afternoon class, it can also be worn into the evening for dinner and a fun night out with friends. A stylish selection of crochet can be purchased on Polyvore. My personal favorite is a sleek black number designed by Free People.

Booties are a fall staple, and every Fashionista should have a pair or two (or three!) in her closet. They come in many varieties and selections — from unique colors and rich materials, various ankle heights, to studs and no studs. Shop for a pair and texture that fits your style and work them creatively with your apparel. A variety of booties can be found on SSENSE.

Ankle booties look absolutely fabulous paired with leather pants, a chunky cable knit sweater and a distressed denim vest for a fun day look. You can also work your booties with a pair of black tights, a long sleeved sweater dress, bangles and a fun patterned scarf. For a night out on the town, dress to impress! Rock your booties with a pair of black (or leather) leggings, a chiffon blouse with bandeau underneath, lots of arm and neck jewels and a stylish clutch to match. This Fashionista’s crochet vest and booties totally pop against the ‘black with black’ look her booties and shirt bring to the table.

Wherever you are in the world this fall season, work your booties in style. And if you’re feeling like adding a hint of vintage, complement them with crochet!
