Following Easter Sunday this year, the third Monday of April is a date that everyone holds close to their hearts, a deeply cherished annual event: Patriots’ Day and the Boston Marathon.  Spectators and runners from all over will flock to Beantown for the 118th Marathon Monday on April 21st.  This American staple event is managed by The Boston Athletic Association and has the proud sponsor of John Hancock Financial Services.  Runners will engage in a 26 mile, 385 yard (42.195 Kilometer) race to the finish line.

All participants are extended the awesome invitation to honor their achievements with friends and family at Boston Marathon Mile 27 – an ‘Official Post-Race Party’ that is bestowed by Samuel Adams.  Fenway Park will host an open house so all runners can get a true taste of Beantown’s pride, joy, heart and soul.  Guests are invited to relax and have a good time before the official festivities begin next door at the House of Blues.  For the official schedule and more information about Monday’s events, click here.

So gear up for this coming Monday, because we run with passion and pride…we run Boston.
