* Fun, Fab & Fourth-of-July-ish

Every urbanite should get their chic trend on with unique patriotic garb.  No matter where this weekend may take you, Pinterest has a variety of stylish looks to get creative with, dressing to impress in no time.  From a flirty sundress, wedges and sunhat to a casual all-American look with jean shorts and leather cowgirl boots, this weekend should surely scream “fashion statement.”

Here is an outfit I put together via Pinterest to make that “wow” appearance at your 4th of July festivities…

Of course, your pooch needs some loving too.  Don’t forget to dress him/her up to the nines…they deserve a little bit of festive attention as well (and they will certainly be the show stealers at the party)!

* Festive Décor Tips

Decorating for your party should be fun, clever and stress-less.  Whether you’re hosting an outdoor barbecue or beach house bash, I have you covered with creative ideas to get everyone in the red, white and blue mojo!

Take simple steps to create a festive DIY star garland or red, white and blue button wreath to hang on your porch or fence.  Either will add the perfect boho touch to your house, welcoming guests in for a day of fun.  All you need for the star garland are wooden stars, rope and spray paint!  You can also hang star-shaped string lights from the trees as an overhead “sky.”

Dress your tables up with red, white and blue vintage lanterns, lace tablecloths and English garden bouquets of hydrangea.  Can’t forget the red-checkered napkins and mismatched china.

How cute are these ideas…

* Scrumptiously & Lusciously Fourth

It’s easy to spend hours on Pinterest pinning to your “must-make recipes” board.  Most of us are completely guilty of it.  The recipes are just too dang delicious and make a spectacular presentation for any bash you are throwing.

I scouted out specialty Fourth of July drinks, apps and desserts.  From festive blueberry and watermelon-star fruit kebobs to white chocolate dipped strawberries with red and blue icing décor, there are tons of creative ways to make your food festive and fun for party guests.  I even found a kebob with strawberries, blueberries, vanilla cake squares and marshmallows!

An all-time favorite dessert is the cheesecake stuffed strawberries.  They are the total rave at parties.  Pinterest has different ways to make them, so definitely check that out.  My favorite preparation is with the bottom dipped in white chocolate, and a blueberry on the top to tie in the festive theme.  They are quick, easy and simply delightful!

Make sure you decorate your glasses – every accent counts and adds to the overall appearance.  Filling up coke bottles with blue-colored lemonade is a fun idea, and decorate the rim with red, white and blue sugar sprinkles.  Find colorful straws to make this a fabulous treat for guests.  Another divine idea is to prepare red and blue cotton candy martinis and topping them with a puff of red and blue cotton candy!  A Fourth of July sangria is always a spectacular choice…refreshing and rejuvenating for a hot summer day.  You can even get Pinterest creative and cut your fruit into stars for extra embellishment.

Make this Fourth of July a memorable one.  When decorating your yacht, picking out a festive bandana for the pup and making that classic sangria, think Pinterest-perfect!
