Calling all brunch enthusiasts and passionate foodies!  Somerville’s Brass Union is launching their delightful brunch service on Sunday, July 6th…just in time to end this holiday weekend on a savory note.

When it comes to brunching it, Beantown certainly does not fool around.  Urbanites take their weekend brunch extremely seriously, scouting out the trendiest venues in town to catch up with friends, sip a refreshing mimosa and savor a delectable plate.  Look out Beantown, because there’s new brunch fare in town, and it’s prepared to delight each and every palate.

Executive Chef Jonathan Kopacz’s menu puts an innovative twist on traditional brunch fare.  Brass Union will be serving a mouthwatering selection of American-style cuisine, from eggs and salad to fluffy pancakes.  If you’re craving something light and divine, the venue’s Greek Yogurt is your go-to dish, prepared with house granola, lavender honey and fresh berries.  Brass Union’s Heirloom Salad is a simply refreshing treat, made with Caesar dressing, pecorino cheese, lemons and croutons.  The house Pancakes, made with almond praline and whipped cream, will make your mouth water when the sweet aroma passes by.  If you want to try something unique and delicious, the Mushroom Toast incorporates a selection of wild mushrooms, smoked tomato aioli, wild leeks and lightly poached egg yolk.

For all egg-lovers out there, Brass Union has a delicious trio of omelet options.  Spice up your morning with the Chorizo, consisting of crispy potatoes, crema, cheddar cheese and scallions.  The Green omelet incorporates a savory combination of pesto, taleggio cheese and Brussels sprouts.  Last but not least, the Vegetable omelet is prepared with market veggies and your choice of cheddar or goat cheese.  For Brass Union’s benedicts, you have the option to get creative, choosing from chicken confit, juicy thick cut bacongarlicky sautéed greens or cod cake.

To complement your brunch with a cocktail, Brass Union’s Beverage Curator Paulo Pereira will be mixing up three luscious concoctions.  Whether you’re craving something sweet like the Passion Fruit Fizz to accompany your meal, or something savory like the Salty Burro or Union Bloody (which is vegan and gluten-free), you will not be disappointed with your choice!

We don’t want to give away the entire scrumptious scoop…so stop in to Brass Union this weekend to get your brunch on.

Brass Union will be serving brunch every Sunday from 11:00am to 3:00pm.  Dinner is served from 4:00pm to 12:00am on Sundays, and the bar remains open until 1:00am.  Check them out on Facebook for delicious updates.
