Celebrate Labor Day Weekend with my awesome Boston roundup. From sampling the finest beers in town at Mass Brewers Guild Fest, to commemorating a national breakfast staple, bacon, at Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, this weekend will be packed with fun events. Gear up, Beantown!
* Mass Brewers Fest

Calling all beer connoisseurs and enthusiasts! Start off this Labor Day Weekend on the chic South Boston Waterfront. The 5th Annual Mass Brewers Fest will take place on Friday, August 29th, from 6:00 – 9:30pm, at the World Trade Center Head House Concourse. Sample an exclusive variety of the finest brews in Massachusetts. Over 100 beers will be available for sampling…so come thirsty!

* Feasting in the North End

A staple to Beantown’s cultural flavor and unparalleled food is the city’s beloved and charming Italian district, the North End. From Friday, August 29th, through Sunday, August 31st, Saint Anthony’s Feast is an amazing and fun city weekend tradition to check out.
On Monday, September 1st, continue the celebrations with Saint Lucy’s Feast. Boasting the proud, well-deserved title of ‘New England’s biggest Italian religious festival,’ city-goers will experience live tunes from Italian American bands and the delicious history behind this North End feast being called “The feast of all feasts.”

* Savor National Bacon Day, the Beantown Way

When it comes to this city’s specialty foods, creamy clam chowder and scrumptious Boston cream pie are two traditional favorites. But, Bostonians also love their bacon…and certainly know how to celebrate a savory National Bacon Day on Saturday, August 30th.
The question is, do you like your bacon grilled, fried or baked? Roxy’s Grilled Cheese has a Green Muenster sandwich prepared with juicy bacon, creamy guacamole and melted cheese; perfect for urbanites to savor and commemorate this delicious holiday.
* Boston Harbor Fireworks

In honor of the Boston Arts Festival taking place on the waterfront, a palette of vibrant fireworks will light up the Boston skyline on Saturday, August 30th. Get cozy on a picnic blanket, pack some delicious goodies, and enjoy the show. Fireworks will begin at 9pm.
* Boston Arts (Ahts) Festival

Relish a day of performing and visual arts. Taking place at the North End’s picturesque Christopher Columbus Park, the Boston Arts Festival will be held on Saturday, August 30th, through Sunday, August 31st. The fun will commence at 12:00pm, and last until 6:00pm. Painting, ceramic and sculpture workshops will entertain the masses, in addition to dancers, folk performers and much more. Give your Saturday or Sunday afternoon an exciting flair with family and friends!

* The Great Provincetown Schooner Regatta

Starting on Monday, September 1st, and lasting until Thursday September 4th, is an event urbanites and tourists do not want to miss. Take a short trip out of the city to Gloucester, MA, for The Great Provincetown Schooner Regatta. Welcoming all to join in on the annual sailing hype, this year’s competition spotlights the rebirth of the notable Fisherman’s Cup from Gloucester to Provincetown.
