The world owes Christopher Columbus a lot of respect. He discovered America, and one of our favorite food categories: chocolate.
We swoon over it, indulge in it, crave it and eat our heart out with it. Chocolate is one of the most sinfully delicious treats in the entire world…and now it’s time to celebrate it! Tuesday, October 28th marks National Chocolate Day. Gear up Boston, because here’s the scrumptious scoop on where to savor chocolaty goodness all day long.
Bar Boulud, Boston at Mandarin Oriental Boston

Get your vanilla and chocolate fix at Bar Boulud. Their Vanilla Chocolate Tart ($8) is decadent, prepared with bittersweet chocolate ganache, vanilla chiffon and the perfect finishing touch of vanilla-chocolate marble ice cream.

Bastille’s Chocolate Mousse Tart ($9) highlights marshmallow brûlée…a heavenly combination. Add this to your National Chocolate Day bucket list, and you will not be disappointed!

If you’re prepared to go all out (keep in mind that it is National Chocolate Day), Legal Crossing’s Adult Profiteroles ($7) look just as perfect as they taste. This dessert spotlights Eagle Rare bourbon ice cream and valrhona chocolate sauce. ID is required for this naughty splurge!

Legal Sea Foods is definitely prepared for National Chocolate Day with tasty offerings. Their Belgian Chocolate Mousse Parfait ($6.95) is luscious with its smooth and creamy texture, no added sugar and it’s gluten free! You also cannot go wrong with the Chocolate Layer Cake ($7.50) or Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake ($7.95), which features chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream and coconut almond macaroon.

Who doesn’t love a helping of rich, delicious Chocolate Flourless Cake? Prezza prepares the best, highlighted with raspberry puree and vanilla bean ice cream ($12). Prezza also offers White Chocolate Bread Pudding ($12) with vanilla bean ice cream and crème anglaise.

Tip Tap puts a lavish spin on tradition with their Blackberry White Chocolate Bread Pudding ($7.95). This dessert is prepared with brioche, cinnamon, caramel and whipped cream: a definite must-try!

Warm chocolaty goodness all in one cast iron, SKYBOKX’s Cast Iron Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae ($6) is incredibly delicious. Garnished with vanilla ice cream, candied walnuts, hot fudge and whipped cream, this dessert is the cherry topping to National Chocolate Day.
