* Earls Kitchen + Bar

Earls is opening its doors to eager guests in honor of 2015 with their very first New Year’s Day brunch. The brunch will spotlight traditional brunch fare with unique spins. To give you a little snippet of deliciousness, Chef Pennington’s kitchen will be serving signature delights, including Chorizo + Mushroom Hash with poached eggs, field mushrooms, crispy fried potatoes, hollandaise and avocado ($14); Croque Madame prepared with grilled sourdough, poached egg, Virginia ham, white cheddar cheese and roasted serrano cream ($13); and much more, including lavish a la carte sides. Accompany your brunch with a friendly toast, sipping one of International Beverage Director Cameron Bogue’s recommended pairings. The notorious Canadian-invented cocktail, Signature Caesar, is a must-try, incorporating Skyy vodka, signature spices and clamato juice ($8).

Earls will also be serving their full menu from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.

River Bar is making a simply mouthwatering twist on New Year’s Day brunch, spotlighting “Leftover Chinese Food.” Cozy on up indoors with family and friends or take a seat in the venue’s outdoor area by the fire pit and heated lamps. Executive Chef Patrick Gilmartin will offer “leftover” Scallop Rangoon, spread on a savory bagel ($12), in addition to Kung Pao Chicken Terrine served with eggs ($10). For those guests who like to stick to traditional brunch fare, the restaurant will also highlight Bourbon French Toast ($10); Chorizo Scotch Quail Eggs ($9); The River Bar Breakfast Sando featuring egg, Taylor Pork Roll, leeks, Brillat Savarin cheese, stone and skillet English muffin ($14); and Housemade Chinese Sausage Sub, spotlighting black bean mayo, cucumber slaw and red cabbage ($13).

Ring in the New Year with SKYBOKX 109 GastroSports’ “Tailgate Brunch.” On New Year’s Day, Executive Chef Noah Gagnon’s brunch menu takes innovation to an entire new level. Some preparations include Bananas Foster French Toast highlighting cinnamon brioche, caramelized bananas and a divine butter-maple glaze ($9); Breakfast Pizza prepared with eggs, bacon, onion, cheddar cheese and potato ($10); and more! If you’re looking to go all out and induce a zesty flare to the beginning of 2015, SKYBOKX 109’s Bloody Hail Mary cocktail spotlights a cheeseburger slider, smoked bacon, shrimp cocktail, hardboiled egg and celery sticks.

Strega Prime’s New Year’s Day brunch menu will captivate all. The venue’s notorious Executive Chef Farouk Bazoune adds Italian twists to classic brunch favorites. Herbed Egg White Frittata prepared with oven-roasted tomatoes, basil and goat cheese ($13) in addition to Bazoune’s Jumbo Lump Crab Omelet highlighting tomatoes, chives and ricotta ($18) are definite showstoppers. For steak and egg lovers, Strega is serving a top-notch selection of succulent prime cuts, paired with home fries and two sunny side up eggs. Don’t miss out on the variety of savory and sweet side dishes, including Truffle Parmesan Frites ($6).
