7 Things To Do Around The World, For Your 20s Bucket List

If you catch yourself daydreaming and staring out the window, longing to be someplace other than where you’re currently at on the grid, you’re not alone. Every traveler, dreamer, and wanderer alike can’t help but think about how grand the world is. We’re curious about all of the plans it has in store for us. There are so many beautiful gems across the globe to explore, and time seems to get the best of many of our dreams. As we try to balance our hectic schedules, pay the bills and maintain a social life, all while staying afloat, traveling might take a backseat for awhile. Whether your wallet is pulling the reigns on this decision or not, there are some things to do around the world you must add to your 20s bucket list.

A very wise person once said, “Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.” It’s essential to make time for the fulfilling experiences life grants us, because they don’t come around on a daily basis. Whether you travel with friends, family, or with a significant other, there are so many beaches, mountaintops, caves, sunflower fields, and country roads that are calling your name. In your 20s, the ball’s in your court to try to reach one, if not a few, of your travel goals. Here are some ideas to get you started.

1. Eat A Croissant By The Eiffel Tower In Paris

Browse the divine Parisian bakeries in search of the ultimate croissant (or several, to fill up your picnic basket). Set up a cozy picnic blanket and a bottle of champagne to check off this bucket list item the right way. We all know savoring a croissant in Paris would simply be incomplete without a picturesque view of the Eiffel Tower to set the scene.

2. Winery Hopping In The Hamptons

If you’re a true wino at heart, hitting up wineries in the Hamptons is all of your wanderlust dreams come true. From Wölffer Estate Vineyard to Paumanok Vineyards, the surrounding scenery is an undeniably beautiful backdrop to accompany your sipping, and let me just say that the cheese boards certainly do not disappoint the tastebuds. Grab your girl crew, because winery hopping awaits.

3. Go All Out At The F*cking Catalina Wine Mixer

Here’s another gem for all of my fellow wine lovers out there. If you weren’t already in the know, the f*cking Catalina Wine Mixer from Step Brothers actually exists IRL on the exquisite Catalina Island in Avalon, California. You truly don’t want to feel the FOMO about not booking tickets to this weekend affair, filled with live music, delicious food, dancing, and the best wine around.

4. Take A Cooking Class In Florence, Italy

What better place to put those cooking skills to good use than in Italy? When you’re loving life in the heart and soul of the most mouthwatering food in the world (I know, I’m biased), you’re sure to whip up something impressive AF. Homemade cacio e pepe (aka, pasta with pepper and Pecorino Romano cheese), anyone?

5. Sail Around Ibiza

Round up your girl crew and hit the high seas for a sailing trip you’re sure to remember. From exploring Ibiza’s stunning beaches and turquoise waters to booking an intimate snorkeling tour, there’s a cruise option for everyone. Imagine sipping a glass of rosé while watching that sunset. I’ll let that sink in for a hot sec.

6. Relive The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants In Santorini, Greece

If you grew up watching The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies, it may have always been a dream of yours to channel Lena and spend your summer on the breathtaking island of Santorini. Of course, it wouldn’t hurt matters to fall head over heels for a total hunk like Kostas, either. Book a wine tasting and vineyard tour, visit the pristine beaches, and take in all of the Grecian beauty that encompasses you.

7. Ski The Swiss Alps

For all of my ladies out there who love to ski and snowboard, you know the Swiss Alps deserve a spot on your bucket list. Once you pinpoint which of the mountain resorts you’d like to stay at, you’ll be set for a vacation jam-packed with a lineup of ultimate winter activities. If you don’t ski or board, no worries, because from snowshoeing and tobogganing, to shopping and hot air ballooning, there’s a multitude of things to do.
